Revitalization in Century Old Market, Joint Efforts in Fighting Epidemic

Supported by the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and organized by the non-profit organization 2Gather, the new campaign, "Festive Graham" was launched on 5 December 2020 to promote the vibrancy of the century old Hong Kong market. Based on a co-creation project between six renowned local designers (Paul Lam, Eric Chan, Prudence Mak, Gary Tong, Gideon Lai and Clement Yick) and Graham Market operators, face masks and design premiums inspired by Graham Market are made and shared with public on this promotional campaign, and invite us all to “taste” again the special flavour of Graham Market.

 

“Festive Graham” is supported by more than 70 market operators, and over 250 students from five primary schools with their colour drawings. Their works are displayed at stall fronts in Graham Market, while a Pop Up Store (Shop M02) at H18 in Central is opening from 5 December till 2 January 2021.

A GLANCE OF CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES -

 

(1) "Festive Graham" Market Pop Up Store

Location: Shop 2, Market Block, Graham Market

Opening period: 5 December 2020 – 2 January 2021 (every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday)

Opening hours: 10am – 5pm

 

(2) Sharing with Community – Masks Inspired by Graham Market

Date: 4 – 18 December 2020

Participating units: More than 70 market operators and over 250 students from five primary schools (Li Sing Primary School, San Wui Commercial Society School, Tai Kok Tsui Catholic Primary School, C.C.C. Heep Woh Primary School (Cheung Sha Wan), Central and Western District St. Anthony's School)

  • Every participating market operators would display the students’ drawing works on their shop fronts and share with community the designer masks

(3) Visit Graham Market, Win a Design Premium

Date: 19 December 2020 – 2 January 2021

Participating units: More than 70 market operators

  • Collect one stamp upon spending of $30 or more, with a total of 6 stamps to redeem a design premium at the “Festive Graham” Market Pop Up Store. First-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.
  • Stamps have to be collected from no less than 2 types of shops (e.g. vegetables and meat).

(4) Download H18 App, Get a Design Mask

Date: 17 December 2020 – January 2021

Location: 7 Mallory Street, Wan Chai & H6 CONET, Central

  • Download H18 App and redeem a face mask at the customer service counters at our Community Space. Get an extra mask, upon download of LeaveHomeSafe App. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

(5) Event Line-up in January 2021

Date: 16 January 2021 (Sat) 

Location: H6 CONET

  • Activities include sharing sessions with designers & market operators, award presentation for the project participating primary schools.

 

As the Supporting Organisation of "Festive Graham", the Urban Renewal Authority launched the mobile application “H18” in December 2019 as a platform to connect the app users and market operators. Bridging the community with high quality fresh food produces, “H18” App offers functions and features such as the user recipe creation and restaurant e-queue ticketing system to facilitate a new community lifestyle and retail model in an ever-changing consumer world.
